Peterson Creek – Wildlife & Botanical Walking Track

Pleasant walking track in the village of Yungaburra showcases tropical wildlife, local modern history, a suspension bridge and the occasional mosquito. Definitely worth an hour or two to explore.

Well set up walk over river and suspension foot bridge nice place to sit and relax or to walk the track

Great place to spot a platypus. We saw two come out at once, a couple hundred metres up the track. Go late afternoon/dusk, and keep quiet.

Great spot for a plesent walk. Surprisingly well facilitated track following the creek with picnic tables along the way. Be patient and explore up the creek for a nice reward of spotting platypus and tortoises.
