Dr Jacques Pretorius

Basically can't help you if you have endometriosis. Don't bother. I can't work, can barely stand, pain makes me nauseous, can't sleep, can't see my friends, can't even go for walks. And I paid $200 to be given a script for an injection my GP can give me and the names of some Drs who might be able to treat me. Do I exist just to suffer pain and give money to doctors who can't or won't help? He told me he can only cut out small bits of endo tissue (just to diagnose endo, not proper treatment, especially if its on the bladder or bowels), so go elsewhere (apparently Subiaco's Dr Katigrusha and Dr Actan; no idea of their real spellings because his handwriting is illegible & I was in too much pain to notice). The receptionist was really nice though.

A conservative, biased misogynist who apparently need to know my husband’s profession to understand what level to speak to me at. He insisted on charging me the full fee in spite of not being able to treat the exact thing I was referred for. I had to wait for 6 weeks whilst he already had my referral stating why I was there,without him advising prior. In his own words upon querying his bias, he said he was just a ‘conservative South African.’

Dr Pretorius was the perfect obstetrician for our first baby. His manner is so calm and reassuring. I had such a positive experience and a great delivery. I’ll be coming back to him for my second baby no question!
