What a wonderful time!! My husband and I have visited Albany many times. Wanting to experience something new/ different, we decided we’d give the Kalgan Queen a try. We were a bit hesitant, not really knowing what to expect. But we had the best day!! The Kalgan Queen is a family run business, offering a unique experience in a small group setting. Captain Jack is exceptional, offering lots of knowledge, wisdom, insights about the local area and funny tidbits. We took our 5wk old onboard (in a carrier) and it was fine. It’s a really brilliant experience, and we especially enjoyed the homemade damper, the fresh oysters and the local honey tastings. They’re open through June this year and I’d recommend this to everyone; all ages and locals or visitors. Worth every penny!

What a delightful day we had. Jack was full of knowledge about the local river inhabitants and I learnt so much about Albany that I never even knew, as Jack informed us about the history of this lovely town and surrounding area's long history. It was a fun packed morning watching the pelicans dance and the Kites diving down to the water to grab the herrings that were thrown into the river for them. We finally finished with Jack's Mum's homemade and delicious damper. Well recommended. Top Notch

What a wonderful day!!nnWe were greeted by a smiling Captain Jack right from walking through the jetty’s gate, then we spent over 4 hours listening to an incredible array of stories, from historical little known facts and events, to personal stories with a touch of poetry. All the while gently motoring around the harbour and up the Kalgan river, meeting local fauna and learning many interesting facts about the locals and Albany’s rich history.nnThank you Captain Jack, for the lovely, very interesting and highly entertaining day. Well done to the “old boy” (Jack’s dad) for starting the business 20 years ago and to Jack for continuing this tradition. A true gem local business, and a must do for everyone visiting Albany.nnNot to be missed!
