Would give half a star if I could. Worst strata company ever. Move into a new unit as an owner in 2019. Unprofessional in relation the knowing the set up of initial strata fee costs of a new complex. Hadn't aloud correct strata fee budget for annual maintenance. Uncooperative, in the end all 100% of the owners in the complex agreed changing strata companies would be the best for everyone involved.

Beware! Pro-Active will continue to send all sensitive emails to previous rental managers after continued request by owner and previous rental manager to stop at a cost to all owners of course forever!nVery frustrating! Great revenue raiser for them.nThey have silly forms they suggest filling in instead of acting on email request. All about $$$ not about customer service on this issue.

Unprofessional with no attention to detail and apparent disregard for safety.nnI had concerns for public safety when a gaping hole was left unsecured and completely unattended in a location where young children regularly play. Thankfully it was eventually cordoned off sometime later that night, albeit very amateurishly, with large chunks of debris and broken section of pavement outside the sectioned off area.nnThere was absolutely no empathy or understanding from this company whatsoever despite damage to our personal property by the independent repairer they contracted. Also communications from receptionist were very unprofessional with typos and inaccuracies/contradictions with dates.nn***Would not recommend***nnEDIT: Response to James (since I cannot respond below) - I am a tenant in one of the properties thus not a direct client. Eve communicated with me last week (very poorly) and therefore has all my contact details. She dismissed any liability or responsibility whatsoever - despite property damage occurring within the hour of the contractor attending - and told me NOT to communicate with Pro-Active Strata Management directly as they don't deal with tenants!

I lease an apartment that is managed by Pro-Active Strata. I moved in 7 months ago. When I moved in I found that the lift was faulty. Speaking to one of the other residents I found out that it had been faulty since April (8 months ago at the time), so I rang the strata and explained that I have rheumatoid arthritis and without the lift I just can't live here. They sent someone to disable the lift until it could be repaired. I had to pay people to move my belongings up the stairwell, it was about a week until the lift was working.nnShortly after moving in found that the intercom wasn't connected. This is just the apartment I'm leasing, I know a few people living here and I'm the only one I know of with this issue. After calling the strata I was told to contact my real estate, who would then contact the strata manager. As a tenant, I don't have the right to speak to them. So I spoke to my property manager, they contacted the strata and a few weeks later a repair man came out and attempted to repair my intercom.nnHe seemed to know what was wrong with it as soon as he arrived. He told me that he originally quoted on upgrading the intercom system, proactive went with a different company who quoted less, they botched up the install and now they are having to pay him to come back and fix each apartment individually. He said he will be back in about a week with the part, I never saw him again.nnAbout a month later I called the strata and somehow managed to get through to someone beyond the receptionist. They told me that the council of owners are deciding on quotes to have the system upgraded, and they didn't know how long this would take, and sorry for the inconvenience. They also let slip that the council of owners consists of two people, and they don't necessarily own apartments in the complex. So I spoke to my property manager and she empathised with me and told me she will do what she can.nnAbout 6 months later one of the residents here started going a bit crazy, running up and down the stairs bashing on peoples doors in the middle of the night, the following weekend he smashed my neighbours windows in and he had the police out. The weekend after that my neighbour wasn't home and this crazy guy was at it again. I opened the door to him, naively thinking I could calm him down. He just started screaming at me so I shut the door and called the police. I couldn't let them in because the intercom doesn't work. I couldn't go downstairs to open the gate because this lunatic was outside my apartment. I didn't give the police my details as I didn't want my crazy neighbour to find out who dobbed on him. I was trapped. The police came, I could hear them speaking to the guy. Somehow they calmed him down, I saw him around the complex the next day. He still lives here. I have spoken to my property manager about the incident, she said to put it in an email and she will forward it on to the strata, I don't know if there is much point. I rang the strata because I couldn’t be bothered writing another long winded email that is just going to be ignored. I told the receptionist about what happened, she once again told me that I’m not allowed to speak to the strata manager and to contact my property manager.nnSo rather than waste my time with another email, I’m wasting my time with this review in the hopes that it saves someone else from falling victim to this terrible company. Pro-Active Strata Management have made living with my disability difficult, and I am now somewhat in fear of my own personal safety. I can’t wait until my lease is up. It’s a shame because the location and my property manager are great. Avoid this company at all cost, their blatant negligence and classist attitude is appalling.nnEDIT: I have received a response from someone at proactive through my property manager, they've taken no responsibility and basically made out as if I'm telling lies. Good job ud83dudc4dnnEDIT 2: Driving to Welshpool again to pick up another package that can't be delivered. I hate you. I really do.
