Nice place for a quiet BBQ with play area for kids and a few nice bush trails and even a camp site. All pretty close to civilisation which was handy. The dam is a bit of a bust as it's for fresh water so no one is allowed near it but it's a great place to spot some nice bird life.

It's a very peaceful park with bathroom facilities, barbeques, a playground and picnic seating areas. However, there are no paths into the forest to walk around and explore. It's just a picnic or lookout spot. To explore or walk out into the forest, you must go off the path and down steep, rocky hills, etc. At night time, when my family i typically visit (6pm onwards) there are sometimes some very unsavoury characters. The park ranger closes the main gate at 7pm so you cannot park close to your picnic area. The lighting is very dark at night, especially around the top carpark. In many instances, drunk and/or high people come through and make a fuss. Last time we visited, someone had torn up the pavement, smashed glass everywhere and broken branches from trees. It's usually safe during the day time but then it's busy and loud, full of people and their children.
