Mead Medical

Recently had a phone appointment with a new doctor for a repeat script. For years I've seen the same doctor and always been bulk billed. Found out via a text from hot doc that I had been privately billed! Rang Kalamunda today to advise I couldn't pay straight away and was shocked I was being billed $57.00 for a script repeat, only to find out they have a script service that charges twenty dollars or so. Tried to explain to staff on the phone I was a life long patient and had always been bulk billed only to be told tough luck and that I would have to pay as it was a new doctor (my regular doc was all booked up). Told them I was really disappointed and would have to pay it off only to have the staff member say don't you have a card on you now to pay it!! The rudeness was astounding!! Literally just told them I would have to pay it off and the receptionist becomes an auto debt collector asking for my card!! Had this issue once before with my regular doctor, receptionist spoke to the doctor over my concerns and he bulk billed! This disgraceful staff member just demanded card details and said that's tough luck! Definitely think twice before going here!

Service is appalling. Staff literally do not care. Most doctors are good but admin are shocking.

I'm not surprised this place has so many 1 star reviews I saw sandy braiuka I tried contacting 4 times over a period of almost 3 weeks with no feed back or even courtesy email! It is absolutely disgraceful. I was referred to her by a pharmacy so I will give them a courtesy email to let them know my painful experience

I have been attending Mead Medical for the past 11+ years and cannot fault their Doctors, Staff, nor their facilities. Mead Medical was recommended to me by a family member, and upon my first visit I knew immediately I had finally found a GP who cared about his patients and went above and beyond to offer the very best of care. Doctor Warren Thyer is my Doctor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to find a really good Doctor. In my opinion, they don't come any better! I know my Doctor maintains and develops an abundance of knowledge in his field, and as qualified as he is, he never hesitates to organise an outside consult with a specialist if needed. I know he is a genuine and good person who has a kind and caring soul. I know he cares about the health and well-being of his patients! He shows sincere care and concern, and actually listens to and understands his patients! Dr Thyer is your true family Doctor and has always been a great support! He has also been my Children's Doctor since conception and I only trust Mead Medical with their care! I have attended appointments with several other Doctors at this practice at times when my Doctor might have been unavailable, and each and every one of them have been magnificent, however I have found Dr Greg Caddy, Dr James Read, Dr Melissa Marlow and Dr Celia Worth are also exceptional Doctors who are attentive and proactive! I have noticed a few reviews complaining about the wait time - I rarely have too much of a wait, but on the odd occasion I do - it is worth the wait for any one of these Doctors as you will receive a level of care rarely found at many other practices! Mead Medical also offer clean, modern facilities and helpful, friendly admin and nursing staff! I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for the best medical care!
