I had a terrible experience when booking with discovery campervans. We had our holiday cancelled due to Covid-19 and discovery wanted to initially only refund me 40% of my booking and keep over $2000 to their greedy selves. To justify this they said Go Cheap (the actually van company) were only giving them this amount. I called Go Cheap and this was lies, Go Cheap offered 100% refunds during this time. I then received a 'credit note' worth $775.nnNow comes for me to book my holiday again and Discovery Campervans tell me the credit note can only be used for the deposit - meaning I have to forfeit over $500 of the credit note.nnIn short, do yourself a favour and DO NOT BOOK THROUGH DISCOVERY CAMPERS!

DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH DISCOVERY CAMPERVANSnnFirstly, they are more expensive than booking directly with the rental van companies. Secondly, they have the worst cancellation policy. We had to cancel our booking because of a COVID-19 lockdown and even though the company where they booked the van with were willing to refund our full booking amount, discovery Campervans chose to keep 20% of the booking amount in a credit note.nLater when we wanted to rebook we were informed that we could only use the credit note towards a deposit for a new booking. So event hough the vans were advertised for 80% less online, we have to pay the exact same amount than the original booking amount (which was over the NYE period, so much more expensive).nnRudest customer service representatives! They found it humorous that we were losing money.
