Russell Island (08/20/2019)
Brisbane's most affordable waterfront suburb. Highly recommended you visit to check it out. Mainly residential island with a distinct rural feel. Town water mains available to every block. 240v mains power to every block. Rubbish curbside collection by council truck every week. Septic system needs to be installed for all constructions.nnVibrant wildlife and marine life. Spectacular sunsets over the water.nnIsland ammenities, shops, building supplies, post office, school, service station, bowls club, RSL, ambulance, police, fire station. So much to explore.

Russell Island, the largest of the Southern Islands at 3km by 8km, it is separated from North Stradbroke Island by Canaipa Passage and extends down almost as far as Jumpinpin Bar between North and South Stradbroke islands. It also has views south to the Gold Coast!nnCheck out the Russell island Museum, swimming pool, RSL, Resilliance Centre and Bowls club. There is also a medical centre, supermarket, library, tennis courts, basketball, NRL fields and many public parks to explore.nnThe islands hallmarks are its easy-living, fishing opportunities and connection with the natural environment. The bird life is simply amazing, with the island a world-recognised sanctuary.
