22/8/20, It's gone, council has closed it to dog owners. All reviews recommending this (previously) great place are now moot.nnThe new off-lease area adjacent is tiny with no shaded areas. The only access to the river is steep, muddy and covered in barnacle encrusted rocks - your dog's paws will be shredded.nnVery disappointed, will try somewhere else.
Very basic park, but the walking paths and nature was excellent. We saw hundreds of flying foxes. We will definitely visit again.
Much improved facilities
Nice, quiet little park with a fair bit of interesting history with regards to the local indigenous peoples. Makes a good picnic spot.
Lovely location. We went there to have some professional photos taken. Looking forward to seeing the results.
