Strangeworld Records

One of the best record stores in Melbourne; the selection is top-notch and focused and Richie, the store's owner, is as knowledgeable as he is friendly. I always check the website before I buy elsewhere and 9/10 they will have exactly what I'm looking for. When Richie knew I was trying to find a certain pressing he went out of his way to get one in. Just fantastic. I love this place and if you're a fan of rock, psych, noise you will too. If you're a local or you're in Melbourne checking out record stores do not leave Strangeworld off of your list!

A great record store with a great range of recent Australian and international releases, particularly great selection of alt rock/garage. Love getting recommendations from Richie (who is lovely by the way!) - I have found a number of artists I really love thanks to him, I think he knows my tastes better than I do!

Great selection and super friendly staff. Found a heap of stuff here that I've been wanting for a long time. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended record store + online shop. Strangeworld are clearly passionate about music and what they stock (e.g. the great 'recommended new releases' section online), and committed to providing the best possible support and assistance for customers e.g. Recently they went way out of their way to make sure a last minute gift delivery would arrive in time - not something you'd expect from many places.nnI don't live in Melbourne, but I have shopped with Strangeworld regularly, because they have a good range of releases (including some that don't seem to be available in other Australian locations), are reasonably priced, and are always very helpful when I have had questions.
