Attended 4th May 2021. The experienced blonde lady that knew what she was doing no longer works at the South Perth, Douglas Ave clinic. I got an Asian lady that could barely communicate.nI went in for a blood test and she strapped my arm 3 times - First, she strapped my arm up and had to let the strap go because she forgot to verify my referral form details. Second, the strap was done so badly the skin of my arm was caught right in the strap. She got it right the 3rd try.nThis all happened before the needle even went near my arm, so in hindsight, I should have back away then... the blood extraction was the worst experience I've ever had. She couldn't get the needle depth right and had to make... depth adjustments during the process.nIf you love pain, this the place for you.

The staff are friendly, polite and professional - I have been here on multiple occasions and am still alive

DO NOT GO HERE on a Saturday morning. The lady clearly has zero idea what she is doing. I should’ve known when at 9.50am she comes out to the four (4) people in the waiting room explaining that she closes at 11am and she might not be able to see everyone. If you can’t take four peoples samples in over an hour somethings not right. I was taken in at 10.20am and when she saw my list of samples I needed, proceeded to tell me she can’t do all of them due to the courier having already been today and I needed to have been sitting down for 30mins. I told her I had been sitting for 30m waiting for her and after a bit of back and forth (mostly her making excuses why she can’t do it), settled on trying to do some of them this time. Then she starts checking over my paperwork again and finds out a nurse practitioner did my referral and not a GP. Explains this can’t be done and then goes onto say “well I’ll do it but you’ll get a bill from us”. I explain the nurse said it’s all covered under Medicare and she says “no it’s not, you’ll get a bill, I’m not sure how much but it’ll be something”. At this point I got up and walked out because she clearly has zero idea. Rung my nurse practitioner straight away to tell her what happened who was furious as nothing the lady said was correct and she’s going to put in a formal complaint to Clinipath about her. Avoid at all costs!!

Yesterday when i did my covid test i went through bad experience. The nurse who did the test was very rude. Its a shame that for someone who works and so educated can speak like that. It caused my husband and i to argue and so much stressed after that. If there was a half star i would've given that. I came to this clinic thinking that it would be closer to my in laws and make it easier. I understand that her job is a stressfull job but at the same time it would be nice if she can speak to me nicely. I dont like to complain, i know how it feels like when someone complains because i also work in the hospitality sector but this is needed to be said.
