Canning Dam

Nice quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A fine dam. Whenever I visit never seems too busy. The picnic area at the bottom is good.

Visited the dam wall on a Sunday bike run, nice half way house

Good spot for a quick visit, shame that the roads at the dam are closed off though. Can still walk to the top. Playground down the road somewhere too

Definitely one of the better dams to visit just a short drive from Churchman Brook.nParking down the down the bottom provides a playground and picnic area with the ability to take a walk up through the bush to the dam or you can keep driving and get direct access to the top of the dam.nJust avoid the toilets
