Gloucester Tree

It’s $15 to enter under the guise of a daily parks pass, which covers a huge area around this region. Amazed that this tree is still open for climbing in this day and age. It’s structurally sound but there’s really nothing stopping you from falling to the ground if you slipped. Nevertheless, a thrill to climb to the top even if the views aren’t overly special. Definitely found the descent a lot easier. Started to rain near the bottom and the metal rungs did start to lose grip. Would love to see how people pass each other on a busy day. The climb wasn’t overly tedious, but any fear of heights would make this a challenge.

37 years since I last visited the Gloucester tree. Costs 8 dollars per car. Enjoyed the visit and all the birds.

If you only climb 1 do the Bicentennial tree it has a better view, Alittle scary but well worth the climbud83eudd19ud83eudd19

Great fun and hard work to climb up the old tree and enjoy the views of the forrest. Lots of parking and surprisingly coming down was alot easier.

Finally climbed it after waiting 15 years. The view is worth it if you can get over the nerves. It’s probably a one off thing for most but I would definitely climb again!
