are the stone bridge tracks open for the public to walk and look in the area?

Great starting place to getting the NSW State forest, Camping or Day trip. It was affected after the 2019/20 summer bush fires. But still brings back memories.

Classic train journey. Hopefully opens again soon. Still a good walking track

I grew up in Lithgow and visited this attraction many times throughout my formative years and i have MANY fond memories, including when i won a colouring in competition in year 3 and received a family pass to the railway, this pass was only good for 2 adults and 2 children though, but my family had 5 children, however the railway still accepted it and admitted every one of us. I very much look forward to bringing my own children back here in the future to form great memories for them also.
