Beautiful reception area but rooms are dated and worn. Housekeeping often did not come till about 4pm and still had to ask for teabags. Lovely pool and good position. Had to pay extra for car parking. Overall happy as I got a special price but would not have been if I had to pay full price

The pool is to die for! Could spend every day sitting by it. They don’t seem to be serving food drinks to the pool but I assume that has to do with covid. The outside of the hotel definitely needs a paint job, looks pretty old and grubby. I would recommend that children’s meals be added to the room service menu. The restaurant downstairs is superb and we really enjoyed our meal there, but for the room service menu I would suggest also adding cheaper options, we don’t necessarily want to eat 5 star meals every day and there is no kitchenette to prepare our own food here. For a long stay it just doesn’t work very well. The cleaners are very nice and do a wonderful job every day which is refreshing. A little confused by the tv, no TV guide and it doesn’t say what the channels are. It would also be good to have a hotel information guide in the room. Also the sauna doesn’t seem to be working. Parking is $13 per day. And the hotel only requires a $1 deposit on arrival. All in all we are having a great time here

Second time to Cairns and second time to this hotel. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is huge and delicious. The thing we love the most and keeps us coming back is the service. The staff are wonderful.

This is quite a nice hotel, an older one in need of a retouch of paint in some areas. The staff are professional and courteous. We received an upgrade for $20. Our room is 40sq metres and has magnificent views from the balcony. The pools are clean and nice, 1.5 metres deep and each has a warm spa attached. The location is good and carparking underneath is offered for $12 a day.

Shame smoking is allowed on balconies. Can’t enjoy a nice evening on the balcony. Bar Team quite nice. Food’s clearly done by a good chef. Needs a reno for these rates.
