Star Discount Chemist Waterford

While customer service staff are generally efficient and helpful the same cannot be said for the ineptitude of the senior chemist on duty today ( Owen or some 4 letter name). I went to get my elderly mother some Chlorsig eye ointment. The chemist (?) informed me that I require a doctors prescription and refused sale ( the 2nd time he's questioned me over scripts). So I rushed to another chemist but given pub hol they have closed earlier. So not only am I inconvenienced but my poor ole mum has to forgo some soothing cream. Guess what you do NOT require a prescription and I can buy it on line. Incompetent plus. This chemist already has a shocking reputation. I wonder why.

Worst experience. Store manager (kylie I think) was so rude to myself and horrible to her staff! I feel sorry for the those poor girls who have to deal with her daily. After reading others reviews I can say this wasn't a once off.. the pharmacy would be alot better off without the store manger and the 2 main pharmacists. Heard the red head pharmacist making rude remarks about a customer who only make a small request and the other pharmacist (i assume the owner as his face is on the wall out front) went along with it. No respect for their customer or staff.. very disappointing

My wife had the worse experience with The duty manager Kylie. For some unknown reason she thought my wife needed a English and manners lesson. Just because she was Asian she has no right to treat my wife that way. It seems that some people have not progressed in society and treating other races seems to be still a problem. The funny side is that she was happy to accept our money but that is as far as the necessities goes. My whole family and friends will no longer shop at this store until they remove this Store Manager.

I have felt very disappointed with the customer service at this store. An innocent mistake I made of picking up an identical item NEXT to the makeup item I actually wanted, which I have attempted to return on 3 separate occasions to swap or exchange. When I could not produce my receipt, despite the fact that the unopened item is in the store packaging, I realised that the purchase would be recorded on the store rewards card I’ve used for months. Again, no luck. Despite the fact that two staff members were doing nothing at that time & there were hardly any customers in the store, neither women offered to assist except to tell me to call the head office for reward card purchase history, but also they’re probably too busy right now to help with my inquiry. I’ve purchased quite a great deal of items in this store over the last 18 months and I know my elderly parents use this pharmacy, too. I am most reluctant to ever go back to further lacklustre service from clearly uncaring staff.

The chemist and his intern are great. I have been going coming to this place for over 16 years. It has gone from a happy caring place to a cold under stocked place. I don't appreciate the manager herself to look me in the eyes and turn to go out the back.then I was left waiting to be served but one of the original staff members. I don't call this good customer service at all. It is extremely sad.
