Excellent little spot to use as a base for entering the forrest on an adventure with the family. Needs a public toilet and a gas bbq to get 5 stars.

This is around the corner from Herbert street but part of the same park. The gym is older and is showing its age. It is still usable and is nice and quiet with lots of space for kids to run around. Good shade from 2pm on in the summer. Grill is rusted out (and uses charcoal), water fountain still works. A few picnic tables and benches, no restrooms.
