Social distancing doesn’t exist at this place. Two older people sitting directly in front of me, and then another couple next to me… aren’t we supposed to be protecting each other while still promoting economic activity??

I have always enjoys coming to these movies since I was a kid. Now we take our son here and he loves it . The cinemas are usually very clean and the pop corn is delicious.

The Cinemas at Capalaba are located in a large Shopping Centre on the Eastern face of the main building, accessible from the Moreton Bay Road entrance. The Cinema has a dedicated ground level entrance. Inside cinema area does not connect to the rest of the shopping centre and is wheelchair friendly. Parking is outdoors, but undercover, directly opposite the entry. There is a fairly generous a number of disabled parking places, however availability is a bit variable as it is not exclusively for cinema goers, I am usually able to find a close park within 5 minutes.nnUpon entering you are faced with a very large flight of stairs. On the left there is an escalator. On the right at the front there is a small lift.nnThere is a place to purchase snacks, drinks and popcorn. Cinebuzz membership (free) means many sessions are relatively cheap, and you can build up points for free tickets. You need to show your card, or barcode from website for the discounted tickets. This cinema seems to be the cheapest Event Cinema in the Greater Brisbane area by a large margin. At the time of writing weekday saver daytime session, adult admission was only $8! I usually go to early sessions, and the cinema has been clean at these times.nnTo me the sound level used here seems to be a little louder than most Cinemas. I am a little sound sensitive at times and needed to use earplugs to take it down a notch.nnLike all Event Cinemas, companion card is accepted, but I could not see a way to book the companion seat when making a booking online. There is a small number stairs or ramp inside to the theatres. Wheelchair places in the cinema itself are limited, but visible online. The price makes it really accessible, and the quality is the same as the more expensive Event Cinemas.nnOverall I found it to be a great cinema experience.

It's one of the more affordable cinema's in southern Brisbane and I take my family often. My 3 star rating is because the screen had a mark on it from someone whose thrown something at it. So BCC please check your screens regularly because looking at a big blotch mark during the movie ruined the experience.
