I was recently renting a unit through Wills Property and moved out almost 2 weeks ago. After finalizing the exit and receiving my bond, I was told by their office, that my direct debit would be cancelled. Today I have checked my account to find that another fortnightly rent installment has been debited totaling $890.00. Instead of processing the refund ASAP, I was advised I will need to wait 3 days before it can even be processed. I would strongly recommend cancelling any debits with your bank upon existing a property rented through Will's Property and would recommend you look else where to avoid the hassle. Extremely unprofessional and no sense of urgency, despite the ongoing financial crisis related to COVID-19. UPDATE - I have since contacted my bank who was able to process the return of funds within the hour. I updated Will's Property of the same and their office claimed this was conducted by their office. A further call to my bank confirmed this was not the case, as there was no request from Will's Property to return the funds. Whilst the owner did contact me directly to offer a refund today, this was only done once the review was posted. I would recommend that any unauthorized debits be a priority for your office, especially when a tenant is no longer living in the rental property.
