Dr Simon Weight

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last December and got a referral to see Dr Weight from my local Dr. The plan was to have 8 rounds of chemo, and then surgery. After 4 rounds of chemo my tumour actually grew by 1cm and panicking I made a appointment to see Dr Weight the next day. He was not to fussed about the growth which really put me at ease, and advised me that I could continue on with chemo, or have surgery. I decided that I would like to have surgery and went with the option of a mastectomy, the Nurses would always ask me what my pain level was and my answer was zero. I had no pain whatsoever with my mastectomy, the only pain I have is in my arm from having my anodes removed, and everyday I feel less pain and gain more movement. Yesterday I had my mastectomy bandage removed and already I can see that I will have a perfect scar when it completely heals. Simon and his wonderful receptionist Mel were ALWAYS available when I had questions or concerns and I can’t recommend Dr Simon Weight enough. My husband had a lot of questions yesterday and he answered them all without us feeling rushed to let him get on with his day, as he was very busy on the day we saw him. All in all my treatment was done quickly and efficiently since my diagnoses, I am very happy and grateful for my second chance at life. I have read some reviews of Dr Weight being aloof, but I never felt that way at all, put yourself in his shoes dealing with a terrible disease everyday. He has to look at you and your case from a clinical point of view to get the best possible outcome for you.

I had breast surgery at the clinic recently, and from start to finish, my experience was great. Simon is very easy to relate to and listens to any concerns you may have and makes you feel at ease with the whole procedure.nWhen attending the clinic, I was met by Mel who is extremely friendly and cheerful in her approach, she is very easy to deal with in regards to booking appointments and answering any queries.nI would definitely recommend this clinic, my whole experience has been a good one.

3 weeks post surgery and I couldn't be happier. I felt very comfortable at my appointments and my post op care has been excellent.
