Unfortunately due to a simple mistake by one of the Magistrates at this courthouse failing to swear / affirm a 12 year child under oath resulted in an appeal in the Supreme Court being granted. Someone who was found guilty of assault in circumstances of aggravation got aquitted due to a failure of the Magistrate.
Not fair place
People at front desk are nice and are easy to talk to lad
These courts give out restraining orders to females like giving out lollies to kids in a park. If you are male do not even attempt to fight a case at the Rockingham Courthouse because the magistrates will vilify you, discriminate against you for being a male, openly and on record and just to make your life a further living hell. The magistrates will delay any further hearing date as long as possible to further impead the course of justice, where you are fighting as a male. If you are a female go for it, they will accommodate you in any way they can. You are guilty not because you are guilty of a crime, you guilty because you are a Grown Man!
