My husband was told that his hearing aids were beyond adjustment and that he needed to purchase new ones and was handed information on very expensive new models with an assurance that they could organise a payment plan. We had an uneasy feeling this might not be the complete truth so we went elsewhere for a second opinion. The hearing test he was given by the new audiologist was far superior to any test that was ever conducted by National Hearing and surprise, surprise, his existing hearing aids had been adjusted to under half volume and were not beyond further adjustment as he had been told. After a quick adjustment he is now able to hear again! I am disgusted that my husband had to endure significant difficulties with his day to day life because of an organisation who is more concerned with upselling expensive products rather than providing a legitimate service to its customers. Shameful behaviour to prey on the vulnerable!

Very polite and attentive staff, who promptly rectify my hearing aid, even when I came from Cairns.

I was pleased with the courtesy of the staff but disappointed the audiologist failed to give me any medical information on how to deal with tinnitus or other issues. It seems we are just like sheep going through a testing station with no advice or help apart from “please consult with your GP”.nThis does not seem adequate.
