St John Medical Joondalup

I gave two stars simply for my usual GP!, who is the one positive at the practice! The reception staff are very unfriendly and there is no sense of urgency! A $50 gap for emergency walk-in seems very steep when most times the drs send you straight off to the hospital. The wait time is still long and patients are not provided any updates regarding waiting - not good practice from staff. Unfortunately this practice has deteriorated so much :(

Very disappointed in this practice . It used to have great service and has declined since being taken over by St John's . I am currently still waiting for my 3.40 appointment an hour and a half later. Absolutely disgusting! No call , no nothing . I've rung a few times as my time is important too ! I'm still many patients away . The wonderful receptionist, Rebecca, has been this Drs saving grace . Thank you , your professionalism has cooled my feathers . You are worth your weight in gold . I understand Drs run late but this is ludicrous! Edit ; It's now 2 hours and 20 minutes. A 3 minute consult and the wait is over . Very poor ! If patients need a long consult book two appointments .

I wanted to give zero stars but it wouldn't allow that, hence the one star that is not deserved. What is going on with this clinic? Once it was great, now the staff are always unhappy, the best doctors have left and now you charge for urgent care... What the hell? The urgent care was supposed to take the pressure off Joondalup Health Campus' emergency department. What are you doing charging people for urgent care? You've taken away low income and pensioners ability to seek help after 5pm and on weekends and now you add insult to injury by charging for urgent assistance. I would say the days of this clinic being open are running out.

Our 20 year old son was treated here last week when he cut his head during basketball training at 9:30pm. Rather than waiting for hours in a hospital emergency department we went 1st thing the next morning at 8am to Joondalup Urgent Care He was seen by a Dr straight away and had 5 of the neatest stitches just above his eyebrow. He was done within 20 minutes, bulk billed, then headed off to work. We made an appointment online for 1 week later for the stitches to be removed. The cut had closed up beautifully and you can barely see any scar. We were very happy and grateful with our experience here and would highly recommend!

Slow slow slow. Drs and nurses sit around chatting. No sense of urgency. Asking my daughter to view her own xray. You're supposed to be the professionals!!!! Just go to the ER it'd be quicker. And the reception staff just seem mad all the time. Used to be good before st john took over.
