Bicentennial Memorial

Well done Inverell for acknowledging those that have made and continue to add to the town. 100 plus years in the district is no mean feat. 4th, 5th and 6th generations. Plenty of parking and other things to see in the park. A nod to the Scottish influences as well.

Interesting Centenary of Federation Memorial (1901- 2001).nnMarks mainly the contribution of Local Families in the British & European Settlement of the Inverell District & The New England Region...Also gives recognition of the First Nation indigenous tribes of the Kamilori....the custodians of these Lands.nnThe Memorial is made from rough concrete with basalt crushed aggregate. The design is a modern representation and is reminiscent of the Celtic Circular Stone structures of the Irish and their Scots clansmen.

A fitting monument to be viewed. There are some good displays internally.
