Sanctuary for Hair

I used to go to a super cheap local place and have occasional touchup at Sanctuary... however, for the last few years I couldn't bring myself to go anywhere else. Rachel does my colour, and I've also had Elie and Kat work on my (stubborn) hair before. This is, hands down, the best hair salon in the hills. My overprocessed, damaged, and super dry blonde hair has never looked or felt so healthy since I've started coming to Sanctuary. None of the staff have ever tried to sell me something I didn't need - but if I DO need something, they explain exactly why, what the products do, and have give me multiple options in a range of price points. Also had the BEST head massage of my life here - thanks Nicole!!nI've always really appreciated their honesty and focus on at-home care as well. LOVE the team and the atmosphere and will be coming back for years to come :)

First visit, asked for a trim for my long hair that went all the way down my back and highlights the ends to extend my balayage. Ended up with medium length hair just under my shoulders and thick tiger stripes from my roots. Terrible! Second visit, asked for some layers to my now short hair 'cause it looked like a bob, ended up with a 1990s layered style. Then she asked me how I want my hair dried and I said wavey. Ended up with a blow wave with ends flicked out. Mind you, Im in my 20s! The hairdressers at this salon need to get with the times and stop ruining peoples hair. I gave them 2 chances and both times they managed to ruin my hair. I paid $99 for the worst haircut! Never going back again.

Jen and Ellie are the legends in this salon. Jen always goes above and beyond in delivering excellence - be it in on the floor as a colour specialist or behind the counter. Ellie is a Master stylist and his attention to detail is impeccable. Two absolute superstars who are assets to this business!

I came here in hopes of leaving feeling luscious.. I left with a bowl cut. This rigorous woman quite literally used a bowl as a guide on my head. I fear not say anything as she was allegedly the professional, just because you went to tafe for hair doesn't mean you're an expert love. I left unsatisfied and looking like Rowley from 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'. Absolute mess.
