Highfields Pioneer Village

We recently visited Highfields Pioneer Village for the first time, and we were impressed at the number of historical displays on offer. Ranging from old buildings , homes, horse drawn carriages and vehicles of all types on shownMany of the sheds had people on hand to offer information about the object on display.nEnjoyed our visit and look forward to going again when we have more time to explore all the displays.

Very enjoyable experience, so much to see & the Billy Tea & damper were delicious. It was great to see the big Cow again as last time we saw it was many years ago on our honeymoon

Very friendly greeting & wonderful volunteers with knowledgeable information. Great historical memorabilia & education for our children to learn what it was like, way way before computers, mobiles & computer games. Steam train was a real treat. Highly recommend & 2 hours flew by.

What an amazing place. We have been to other heritage places but this one beats them all.nReally friendly volunteers who are very knowledgeable about the exhibits.nHighly recommended, but allow yourself several hours to see it all.

We recently worked alongside Pioneer Village on a working solar display for the Queensland Energy Museum and fell in love with this amazing historical attraction. Ray is an endless source of knowledge on the local area, as well as thousands of items on display in the many historic buildings on the property. We look forward to working with you and visiting again in future!
