Many years ago, I completed my training to be an authorized celebrant at Academy Funerals. That training provided each participant with the most awesome encouragement, direction, compassion and a real willingness to prepare each of them to work with families with compassion, understanding and help during such a difficult emotional time. This course provided much more than any of us could have expected building an understanding of the respect provided to the deceased whilst in their care and during the funeral service.nnI have since worked with Ashley, Katrina and their team. I have found their service to go above and beyond to help people during such a life changing experience for the grieving families. Academy Funerals went above and beyond to assist me and my family after my father passed away. Ashely in particular was very helpful. Nothing was ever an issue for him and he was always available to help. Even after Ashley's services were complete, he was still willing and able to assist me with ongoing requests that I had.nnI couldn't speak more highly of the team at Academy Funerals and would certainly recommend them to anyone who has the daunting task of arranging a funeral for a loved one.

He definitely took our feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated.nnRobin and staff are what every grieving family needs to give your loved one the best care possible.nnHe was available 24/7 by phone even during the holidays, Robin really showed his excellence for me when he stepped away from his own family and arranged multiple viewings for us. He was extremely accommodating to all of our requests. He consistently checked up on us during each viewings to make sure that things were going smoothly and to see if we were going ok.nnRobin and staff are what every grieving family needs to give your loved one the best care possible.

At this most difficult time, Academy Funerals were most accommodating and caring in their approach and care for our loved one.nnI commend Ashley, Robin and the team to anyone looking for a caring and supportive funeral director who preempted our needs and provided gentle and appropriate guidance to us.nnThey managed to deal with an 60+ motorcycle escort to the chapel/cemetery and dealt with the day with decorum and care.nnAcademy Funerals is a family business which is locally owned and operated. This is Margaret JonesnAshley was brilliant, my family was shocked by my brother passing and was not prepared financially, I myself wanted to give my brother a lovely send off and not a cold hearted way the government covered. Cheap cremations. After speaking to Ashley we decided to have a family service at the funeral home. OMG. It was wonderful, so personal and loving, and using Ashley as our celebrant, his words were just what we wanted to hear.
