Arrive as early as possible because the car lineup to get in is very long. Try to buy your passes in advance as the ques for tickets is very long too. Not very much space to sit and enjoy lunch, prepare to sit in your car. I didn't see 1 groomed trail the next morning. This resort relies heavily on natural snow to groom their trails which end up being huge moguls by mid day.
Best mountain in QC. Good snow quality and coverage, long trails for all levels! Some very challenging and some relax.. well maintained chairlift and cabin. And nice cafteria (a bit pricey though).
Finally: Breathtaking view which worth the long travel to go there
The good: the views are simply stunning, making you dizzy at times. So many trails to try, very long and very satisfying. Chair lifts (not the Gondola) are quite fast and hardly any lineups.
The bad: the Gondola lineup is huge, here you will waste 20-30 after each run (we used regular chair lifts instead, but on cold days it would be hard). The chalet on summit is constantly full, when you buy food you will not find a chair to sit on to eat your food. Lots of seats occupied by people who bring their own food, leaving paying customers without a seat standing next to a wall of a crowded hallway to eat!!!
Conditions were simply amazing! In my opinion, the best ski resort in all eastern Canada. You want snow, they have it!!
Today, Dec 29th, absolutely terrible conditions. Pure ice. Very dangerous. Not enough snow or runs. Crowded and skiers/boarders clearing hill of the little snow there is. Terrible grooming.
I tried 2 half runs and then tried to get a refund or credit. Absolutley no way would they do either. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't bother skiing here unless there is a major snowfall and more runs are open. Don't waste your time.
