We had a bit of an adventure with our rental - lost the keys whilst packing up. We were eventually able to get a key cut and get the truck back and unloaded. It took us three days and U-haul was very helpful and supportive along the way. Loosing the keys was completely our fault but with the company's assistance it turned out way better that it might have.

Extremely poor experience. I called in a day before to reserve a pickup truck and trailer, all seemed fine, received an email with confirmation and all. I walked in today, only to hear that they don't have anything on record (was very vague), that they only have pickup trucks and no trailers and even if they did, that they cannot do a pickup truck/auto trailer combination. I was never informed over the phone during my reservation and it was never explained to me over the counter other than hearing that it was "suspicious" from one employee whispering to another. I was then directed to the Alberta U-Haul Head Office, where I was treated very poorly. I now have to wait another 5 hours for something to be available with half my day already gone. I left a voicemail with the head office manager concerning their poor customer service...but I suspect that I won't even hear back from that. Avoid U-Haul like it's the plague.

Apparently $140/mo for a tiny storage unit isn't enough. (Yes I got my first month free, which most storage businesses offer to new customers.) After 6 months they decide to enforce some arbitrary policy and lock me out of my unit until I pay them for a particular kind of padlock they sell. Not cool. I could think of a few ways to warn customers about policy changes before locking them out of the storage unit they're paying for. How degrading and negative. It took almost an hour to get the help required to open my unit due to the notorious lineup that often bogs the main office, not to mention they couldn't find the key to the lock they put on my unit!? Does it get worse than that? YEAH BECAUSE THEY WERE RUDE ABOUT IT! Unreal! Maple leaf is cheaper, peace.

Please save yourself the nightmare of dealing with this location. I've tried to get an issue rectified for months and no one ever returns calls. I'm lucky to get to speak to someone after a 45 minutes hold. Nick, the general manager, was zero help in rectifying the situation I was in. In short: I came to this location to get wiring for my hitch/brake controller fixed. I was told several times, by Michelle, that the wiring was going to be fixed under warranty. The first appointment I showed up for I was told they didn't have time to fix the issue (despite an appointment and extensive conversation about what needed to be done). So I made a second appointment. When I showed up for that I was told they didn't have the proper wiring in stock. So I booked a third appointment (on a day where I told them I had a medical appointment at a specific time). I was told the wiring would be installed in a matter of 3 hours. So I showed up after 3 hours I was told my vehicle still had an hour's worth of work (so I missed a critical medical appointment) AND when my vehicle was returned to me I found out the the wiring installed on my vehicle was not wiring to my brake connector so I still wasn't able to use my tent trailer. The manager, Nick, refused to rectify the issue (claiming he conveniently couldn't pull up the recorded calls in which I requested, specifically, wiring for my brake controller and Michelle assuring me, after checking my file, that it could be done under warranty). As a result, I am left with wiring for which I have no need and hours and hours of time spent on this issue. Basically to be told 'too bad for you! We can offer to rip it out for free!'. Don't. Just do yourself a favor and don't deal with this business - you'll save yourself an awful lot of grief! I agree with another reviewer: I wish I could give 0 or negative stars for this review.
