Lovely little campground just off Hwy 3 @ the Hwy 22 junction, near the falls, and a short drive from Crowsnest Pass. The positives: many well-treed spots in the lower (west) loop, with lots of shade and (relatively) little wind, close to the river. Many sites are reasonably well-spaced, and the whole campground is well maintained. The beautiful falls are a short walk along the river. The negatives: there is constant road noise from the highway and occasional train, though it seems quieter in the lower loop. There is no drinking water on site - the nearest place to take on water is Lundbreck fire hall, about 3 km east. That's also the nearest dump station.
Beautiful surroundings but the campground reservation system leaves a lot to be desired. the two campgrounds are very different - one is open with very few trees and the other is idyllic down by the river. And it's right next to the highway so you hear traffic all night
Our booking at Lundbreck was a bust as we couldn’t get into our site even though the website states it could accommodate our trailer. Thankfully, we Found one night at Beauvais Lake. Once we got there, we spoke with the camp host and explained our situation. She gave us a powered site and then was able to transfer our entire reservation to Beauvais for all 3 nights! Camp host also ensured neighbors kept their music low. Gave out goodies to kids (coloring books, etc)! And even suggested where to find cheaper firewood! Sites were decent and level with many trees and bushes to separate the sites. Campground was maintained well. Will definitely return if we go south again! THANK YOU CAMP HOST!!
Great camping spot! We got a spot along the river and tented for 2 nights. No running water on site, and only outhouses down the way, but that's camping, right? It's a beautiful spot just around the bend from the falls - makes for a perfect quick trip out of the city.
Convenient location off of highway 3. Nice setting near the river. We enjoyed a quiet fire and the obligatory train tracks were close by!
