Capilano River RV Park

My friend just set up his RV here. It's a very nice place that I have not ever been to. The location is amazing if you are working in West Vancouver or need a central spot to get to other locations fast. Everyone here is very friendly and the management keep a tight ship with an active grounds keeper as well as clean and Covid-19 friendly laundry room and gathering spot (2 people max right now). Lots of places to walk and visit on foot.

Nice and clean

Stayed here back in the early 2010's on our way to Victoria, nice place overall, but this is more of a intermediary location between two destinations than an actual destination basically just a concrete park. This is unless of course you come to stay in Vancouver with a trailer, then this is one of the only places you can park it in the city.

If the only thing you look for in a campground is paved level ground, this place is for you. This is both the most expensive, and worst campsite I’ve ever booked. It’s a glorified parking lot - you’re completely sandwiched in between your neighbours, there’s barely even room to park your car. It’s next to the highway, and the sites that look riverside on the map have no access or view of the river. The usual amenities like the pool, bathrooms and showers are all completely closed (COVID, I get it, but many other campgrounds have found a way to make it work, or have lowered the price). Staff are aloof. I can’t believe I paid $80 to sleep in a parking lot, or that anyone who actually slept there could rate it 5 stars.

Nice location and staff very helpful. Not very close to a beach access as map might suggest. But great access to trails for walking or biking
