Plusses:
Easy access to the lake and public beach on Skaha.
Small private beach on the property.
Cheap ice cream.
Generally helpful and friendly staff.
Reasonably quiet despite all the people.
Movie nights, magician, concert, and kids activities included.
Minuses:
It's crammed with people and you are packed in like sardines - your neighbors sewer dump is right by your picnic table.
Dusty - everything we own is covered in a fine layer of dust, the park could really use a couple layers of gravel.
All in all, as long as you are expecting a crammed in camping experience, it's actually pretty good, but if you want solitude and privacy when camping, this ain't it.
Great location being right on the beach, easy access, private beach is great. However spaces can be a little tight to maneuver in especially when everyone is parking on the road ways. Really the only downfall is just how tight it gets with everyone's vehicles in the way, otherwise great camping experience, we even extended our stay by two days!
A beach looking splendid day and night makes the campground special and popular. I arrived at the camping site at the night of October 1st, 2020. Promptly, I was attracted to the lake scenery and captured its beauty with my camera - a full golden moon illuminating high up over the lake and over the mountains; reflection of the moon, reflections of colourful sparkling lights from nearby buildings, and reflection of a long curved mountain range all in the dark calm lake water. Happy coincidence! It was our Mooncake Day! I made a greeting card with the photo I took and sent it by WeChat to friends and relatives at home and at abroad, all of whom, like me, cheered for the beauty of the scenery!
Nice beach. Nice view. Good walking trail along lake.
The best place to camp!
We were here late september and it was not so full..
The staff was awesome
The sites were clean...
The only downfall was Beach city cross fit next door who play loud music every morning at 6am
