Two Jack Main Campground

Two Jack Main is a huge campground. Privacy at the sites is pretty bad with virtually no undergrowth in the forest around each site but they're reasonably well spaced so it's not terrible. If you like privacy go somewhere else. The flush toilets and wood pile are nice features. But if there's been rain, the wood will be wet. The pieces are all large so come prepared to split some logs if you want a fire. If you want to spend some time in Banff this is a good place to spend the nights.

Registration takes way too long. Why not bring the self registration as in the other campgrounds? You have to reserve in order to get a site. You are charged $11.50 reservation fee. (on top of the nightly rate). When paying for the nightly rate you also have to pay $8.80 per / day fire permit for which there is no way to opt out. Yeah, let's burn some trees! (sarcasm)

Great place to sleep. Washrooms at every circle of campsites. Never get too much privacy but that’s okay when it’s bear season. The fire permit means you get all the wood you want for everyday you stay there. There is a place to wash dishes and garbage near each section of campgrounds.

This has to be one of the best well managed campgrounds I’ve been in Banff. There is a reason why it’s hard to get reservations. Friendly staff, rules are enforced and camp sites are always clean.

Great campground. Decent spacing between campsites for privacy. Bathrooms are clean.
