Mountain Shadows Campground

Really loved this place. Well priced and free firewood. Camps were well spread out with massive, mature trees for privacy. Would definitely go back again.

Great little spot nestled in the trees. Washrooms are very nice with showers. Free fire wood also! Very reasonable rates for power and water hookups. Has a dump station also. Playground for the kids and a short walk to the elk river. Very friendly staff! Only downside is that it is right beside the highway so its noisy but the sites are all nicely treed!

We stay here every few years. The washrooms are really clean and the water is hot. The staff are very nice. It’s awesome they have firewood too.

What a gem! You get provincial park like campsites with full service or power & water! We came to Mountain Shadows on impulse and they were able to get us in one campsite. We really enjoyed it so asked if we could stay longer. We could but we would have to move to a power and water site for two days and then back to a full serve site to get another two days. We didn't mind moving if that meant we could stay! JoJo and Tracey were absolutely fabulous in helping us with staying and with helping us book two weeks next year. They were personable, kind and friendly as well as fantastic at their jobs! The only drawback to this campground is that it is beside the highway, but the sites at the back are quieter. This is a gem you will want to experience!

Amazing place. Quiet. Didn't get a single mosquito bite. Friendly staff. Clean sites. Very clean bathrooms. Warm, good pressured showers. Will definitely be back. And already looking forward to it.
