Breathtaking. Words cannot describe this place - and photos do not do justice to the beauty of the Hazelton Mountains in the background. My husband and I arrived after office hours, but were able to pull up to a large, well-groomed site right by the Skeena River to set up our tent. The owner was very friendly and helpful despite us having not booked a site in advance, and though it drizzled a few times throughout our stay, we had a perfect experience here.
The grounds are within a 5-10 minute walk to the historic town of Hazelton, where signs for a self-guided walking tour help take you through the area. Due to COVID, the 'Ksan Historical Village was not open to tours - but we were still able to wander the grounds.
We will be coming back as soon as we can. This was probably the best campsite we've ever been to.
Nice campground with a cultural village/ museum next to it. Close walk to old Hazleton right on the river. Great. Jews from the bridge look out. The cultural village was mostly closed but the museum and gift shop were open.
Wonderful place to appreciate and experience local Indigenous culture. Above average gift shop is full of local art. Well worth a browse!
Beautiful campground with paved roads. Took two stars off because we couldn’t get the WiFi to work on any of our devices and another because we were told the firewood was free, but when we sent the kids to get some there wasn’t any there. Maybe someone else took it all, but we didn’t get any. Although they don’t have any fire pits to burn it in. Overall we had a nice quiet night and our kids were able to ride around on the paved roads.
The staff is great and very friendly. It's quiet and very clean. We meant to only stay 1 night but have now been here for 4 because we love it so much. Nice secluded spots for tenting and are right near the river :)
