Amerispa Estérel Resort

Im giving a 5 star review because before going i read the reviews which left me a bit skeptical and when i made the reservation for a couple massage when we came it looked like it was going to be in 2 seperated rooms but janine or janice (sorry i dont remember her name) was nice enough to put us in a tandem. The room was probably not booked but still thank you. That little effort made me very thankfull. And also im pretty sure we came a bit late but she never made me feel like she was rushing and her massage felt very good and gentle. So thank you janice/janine.

We booked a couples massage, I asked for a deep tissue massage and she asked for a relaxation massage. They informed us while booking over the phone that the deep tissue massage was not available and suggested a therapeutic massage for an up charge. The massage therapist did not understand English well and that was a problem. I found that she did not quite know how to loosen up my back which I told her is the problem area. Only about half way through the massage did she ask If everything is okay and I told her she can press harder, but she didn’t. At the end of the massage I did not feel any looser and she made a comment that I was really tight. No kidding! That’s why I’m paying for a massage. Anyways, I definitely got a subpar massage therapist while being charged a premium. As for the hotel, restaurants and the rest of the resort, it was very nice but quite pricey for you what you get.

My boyfriend and I booked a 50 minute massage here and the Amerispa was overall an ok experience. The receptionist was very friendly and made sure we were ok several times while in the waiting room. However the actual message and the organization/way of the spa was below average. We had to pay 10$ extra in order to be in the same room which is ridiculous. Other spas charge 10$ less because we are only using 1 room instead of 2. We were sent to the waiting room and We did not have the opportunity to change before our massage so we went into the massage room fully clothed (jackets, boots and all) which took away 5-10 minutes from our massage and we had only booked for 50 minutes. So I paid for a 50 minute massage and only received 40 minutes. Not cool. I paid for 50 minutes ans that's what I should have received . In the room, the massage therapists told us to just put our clothes on the chair in the corner and After the massage, we were told to just get redressed in the room with oil all over us! No shower, no nothing . So I was just expected to leave the resort covered in oil?? We had just checked out of the esterel resort so we didnt have a room to go change or shower. Very unprofessional in my opinion considering how expensive and big this place is. I walked out with a bill of over 200$ and it was really not worth it. And on top of it, we were NOT made aware that the prices were changed. Probably wont be back. I personally work at a way smaller spa than amerispa and we at least have the decency to tell our guests that they may use the shower to take off the oil.

Spent my anniversary at this facility, and enjoyed my stay! The outdoor bath are really what made our stay extremely enjoyable. We had dinner at the Bistro Champlain, and the service was amazing. The food was delicious and everything went perfectly. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because the exterior of the hotel itself showed a LOT of rusting which I think should be fixed to give a better look, aesthetic wise.

This place is in the Esterel resort. I had a relaxation massage & it was exactly that, very relaxing. The massotherapist Janine was very respectful & did a great job. I was asked beforehand if there were any specific issues & during the massage she asked me a couple of times if everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this place. Very clean & professional & the view from the waiting room is gorgeous.
