Pigeon lake provincial park

Pretty disappointed with my stay at pigeon lake. First of all, $30 a night is at the high end of camping costs and I’d expect a bit more for that. Our site was tiny, our picnic table was so wobbly it was unusable, and there was no drainage or gravel to remedy the pooling water, so much of the camp ground was a giant a mud pit. I saw three separate people slip outside of the women’s washroom. Without full amenities (no showers) I can’t understand how they justify charging that amount. There were four of us at our site and we had two tiny tents, but because this was an “additional camping unit” we were charged the cost of an entire second campsite. Paying twice as much as larger groups in motorhomes and trailers seems completely unreasonable. I immediately regretted being honest about the second tent.. We didn’t spend any time at the beach but they might want to consider enforcing some social distancing. It was completely packed all weekend. Overall the campground was certainly not worth the $132 we dropped on a two night stay.

GORGEOUS place to camp! Huge sites, tent camping, group camping and the lake is only a short hike no matter where you are!

Nice campgrounds. The beach area is ok, mameo side is way better but it was a hot weekend so the lake was refreshing. I was pretty annoyed that a site had complained of noise when we were quiet and had no music going. Then the next day the same people camping were blasting music and partying. But whatever the ranger was really nice about it and said he didnt hear anything loud coming from us. Id definitely go back.

Great campground. Obey the rules of the park. Do not destroy the vegetation or cut trees fines are stiff and you will get banned
