Unique, quaint and lovely! Very hospitable hosts. Well established grounds which adds a lot of charm. Short drive or decent walk into town. We stayed with our 32 trailer and hope to be back!

I would not come back again. The camp site is just too close and tight. The price is not cheap at all. The trees, picnic table etc are not well maintained. I spoke to a grey hair lady who is supposed to be the owner for a very noisy neighbor. She said “they stay one night only”. It turned out to be a joke. Re: credit card: I left an voice message with the full and correct info. When I learned it didn’t get through, I presented the credit card right way. Thought this is all that I can do. Don’t understand why this relates to the review. Re: noisiness: I spoke to them the next morning which was not too hard. I’m not saying for all but many families go camping for a quiet and cozy environment. Also during Covid, many parks have maximum occupants in place to help prevent the spread. All the time and words I spent here is hopefully to get any positive feedback and future improvements. The location is very good and convenient to the Harrison lake.

We should've read the reviews before our booking. We have stayed in 11 different campgrounds in our 32 days camping trip and this was the most expensive - $60 a night for two of us and our little tent trailer. (Paid $25 to $37 for all other campgrounds we stayed) Our campsite was very tiny and maybe a little too rustic for us. The little and old picnic table can use some cleaning and some stain or paint. The ground can use some care, maybe cut back some of the shrub and spray the dirt road to keep the dust down. This place can really use some care & maintenance. On the positive side- the washroom and shower was clean and the gentleman in the wood work shop was very friendly, had a great chat with him.

This place is the most depressing and horrible campground you can imagine. We got there because nothing else was available. The lady in charge, told us to go and set up and then pay. When we saw how small the campground is and how it’s located behind people’s houses we decided that we would only stay is it was super cheap. The spot did not worth more than 10 dollars a night. My partner went to ask how much it would cost for the night. Two small tents for 4 people and the lady told her 96 dollars. We camp a lot and I have never heard that rate in my life. This place looks like someone’s broken backyard with no view. When she told us we decided to not unpack and put the stuff back in the car. Within 5 min of packing and putting this away the woman cake to the site and said if we are not staying we have to leave. We politely told her that we are just leaving. She stared talking that the site is not free and we need to leave now. We were like yes we are literally putting our bags in the car. She kept repeating her sentence and started getting aggressive, hostile and very rude. It was scary. She was like the psycho characters from very bad movies. No wonder on the busiest summer day only 10% of the camp was booked. The owner is a very rude and money hungry person. I don’t exaggerate when I say she is psycho and this place is creepy as you can imagine your own worst nightmares. Honestly, I think it should be illegal to be in operation. Stay away even if it means sleeping in your car on the highway. I think the positive reviews are from family and friends I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a full sketchy operation. Stay away please.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had to cancel one of the nights of our planned stay as we had to take our pet to the emergency clinic. The owner was very understanding and sympathetic and held our reservation for the next night. Compared to other campgrounds in the area offering gravel pads and minimal privacy, this location boasts beautiful wilderness sites filled with lush greenery, trees and plants. The sites were well sheltered from neighbouring lots. We found the evening very quiet and peaceful, only the occasional quack from the resident ducks and chickens. We missed the opportunity to have a fire at night, but the sites are small and I understand why open flames aren't allowed. You can rent propane fire bowls from the office, but the rentals are cash only and we didn't have any with us. Overall, a relaxing stay in a natural setting. We will stay again the next time we're in Harrison.
