Othello Tunnels

The Othello Tunnels are located in Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada. This wonderful park, just outside Hope, BC is a fantastic combination of nature and history. The Kettle Valley Railroad carved tunnels and bridges through this canyon and has now since been converted to a hiking trail. The canyon, mountains and rain forest in the area make the natural side of this area gorgeous. This remarkable gem offers a fun, unique and picturesque hiking experience that is a must see in the Fraser Valley region.

I love going here! Beautiful area to take a break from driving or to visit just because. It can get quite dark in a couple of the tunnels (like pitch black), so have your flashlight or phone flashlight out if you think that might spook you. 😁 If you feel like a workout there is a fairly vertical trail accessible to the right of the path not too long after you emerge from the last tunnel. There's a bit of a view and some benches along the way.
