I heart Yellowknife airport great service and so easy . Great decor with the polar bear and seal sculpture. Just easy and simple . Too bad it's not its usual self with covid . So hope it's back to normal soon. Blessings from a NWT resident.
Small, well laid out and functional. Seldom really busy. I love travelling and arriving here. It is such a nice change from the huge airports down south.
I just wish there was a place open to eat even on Sundays. I mean if they arent open for flyers then why are these two restaurants there.
Friendly staff, decent place, very small, amenities could use some more variety
It's a small airport so you can pretty much show up half hour before boarding and be on time to catch your flight but with being a small airport the amenities on the inside of security are few and closed at normal business hours; so if you have a late flight you might be using the vending machine or leaving security. If you fly in, take a pic with the polar bear. Make sure you pre book your rental car so they can warm up the car for you. Also bring your jacket on the plane. The walk from the plane to the building is open to the elements. The people were super friendly and make a great first and last impression to Yellowknife.
