Health Matters Medical Clinic

Not sure where else to put my review although, Dr. Swiegers before her own practise worked in this clinic prior and I was a patient back then, and still am! Dr. Swiegers to me has been a gift from God. I had certain fears and anxiety over things and Dr. Swiegers not only helped in treating the medical issues but the anxiety that went along with it. She even took the time (unpaid) to come in to surgery with me on her day off! As for my experience at Health Matters; I found the staff to be very polite and accommodating. I was advised of the wait time the first few times coming in until they knew I was used to it. Yes there was quite a wait, often easily a couple hours but after my first couple visits I understood why. Dr. Swiegers takes extra time with each patient where I have found doctors from other clinics often don't and seem more in a hurry to get you through. I had to see a different doctor one time during walk in there and found the other doctor to be just as helpful and again, takes the time. Thank you to the team at Health Matters, and of course Dr. Swiegers!

Covid is not an excuse the problem is still going to be there afterwards thanks for not listening

I had to goggle the problem as Dr Sweigers didn’t seem interested in it or didn’t believe me. Thanks to her horrible care and recorded keeping, my arm is probably now a chronic condition. Rude and arrogant seems to describe her best.

Doc is great. Very disappointed with the lack of communication from the reception staff. It would help if they understood english.

I don't know where they find their doctors...frankly a person is better of avoiding this place! I was very ill for weeks and Dr. Tainsh just brushed me off even after i had been to emerg 2 times in one weekend. I sat for hours in emerg, got a parking ticket. I even went so far as to say i needed to go to psych ward just to get admitted. I left after sitting for 6 hours and waited to see my Dr. Tainsh when the office opened. Up to this point she had done nothing except refer me to a specialist and give me false hopes about an experimental drug which she several weeks later told me i could not have because the soecialist didnt approve. I have been waiting 8 months to see that specialist she referred me to!... No medication, nothing. I had been so physically ill and in so much pain for literally years and could not stand it anymore. I went to dr. Tainsh that day very depressed and distraugt. I told her i needed something at least for my nerves. She said i had to see an assistant who made me fill out various forms while i was crying, in pain and upset. Then her assistant told me i was depressed ( no news there) and that i should stop drinking coffee and go to mental health!? I saud i needed sime kind on meficine for my nervescand she told me ti calm the hospital where i had jyst been waiting the whole night! It's appalling how sick are treated like complete scum by doctors niwadays who dint care they just want a fat paycheque for doing harm! I left and never returned! Wow, I'd be better off having a five year old treat me!
