Aspen Beach Provincial Park

My family and I camped here for a few days and we wished we had booked for a couple more nights. Our site was great, it had a good amount of shade and was spacious enough to comfortably sit around the fire. The beach is very nice, there are both shady and sunny spots as well as plenty of room to set up an umbrella or tent. The water is super refreshing on a hot day.

This park is well laid out and offers very good basic amenities you don't see in some national parks. It is well positioned along Gull Lake with a lovely view of the gentle rolling hills across the lake. The washrooms though simple are clean and maintained. The day use area provides picnic tables, firepit and garbage receptacles within easy walking distance. Although we were there in the off season, it appears to be a busy boating and fishing location during the high season. A canteen adds to the pleasant experience.

Lots of sea weed and algae. Lots of sea gulls in the water. Very spacious beach with sand/mud shore. Water wss quite shallow where we were. Lots of picnic tables and parking. The views were pretty and picturesque. The store was closed as was access to the dock. People still crossed over and fished and hung out around it. Nice family camping day use area.

Wide space, beautiful view
