Monster L Karaoke (燃.)

This Karaoke bar is very much catered toward Chinese speakers, which is fine. The rooms had menus in English and Chinese, but the ordering system/interface was all in Chinese so it was difficult to place an order. The tablet for selecting songs was mounted on the wall in an awkward position making it cumbersome to look at the TV to screen, then back to the wall to try to find other songs to input. All songs (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, etc) follow a specific search format. English you can get used to because it was something like the first letter of the first 3 words to the title song or artist. IE: to find "Hey Jude" you would search "HJ". However, for other Asian songs, it would be based on the Chinese syllable equivalent? It made it nearly impossible to search.

Best place in town. Awesome sound system, updated playlists, friendly staff, good food and drink. Fair price, will definitely revisit and recommend to all my friends.

Nice karaoke place in Richmond. Had karaoke here on Sunday from 5-7PM, paid $26/hr for 1-3 people, instead of all-you-can-sing from 2-7PM for $18!! Prices seem fair. Didn’t have food here, but there was wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink, and tasted pretty good. The room and reception area was very nicely decorated. They have a 10 minute remaining reminder on the screen and the system stops when time is up. They also returned our ID soon after we settled into our room. Service was quite fast and polite. MV resolution and sound system was great! Although you can’t control the microphone’s volume. Would like to come again ;D
