Chopped Leaf

I give 2 stars for the cleanliness. Minus 10 for the service and attitude. Was there on Monday, July 27 2020 - I understand fully that there is a pandemic going on and that folks are being very mindful of contact. There is ZERO excuse for rudeness and treating customers poorly. There was insolence, loud shaming, childish terse attention and the food did not seem so great either. I have been to other chopped leaf spots and they are fantastic. This one - insulting. I am sorry we came in, the ambiance was horrible. My friends were treated with zero respect - I really would discourage supporting this location in any way. They need to really learn about customer service and why they have a serving job in the first place. Kindness goes a long ways. (ps.. it was very clean really deserves more stars for that, however, the rest of it - it takes away so much. There was a skip dishes person that came in who also did not seem to aware of the idea of the hygiene requirements and why it would be important to be aware of where your personal droplets may land - but this was only an exclamation to the entire experience.)

We use Chopped Leaf a lot and recently can’t understand our bill. We use our Little Coupon Book in which it says buy one and get the second one of same or equal value for free. For some reason the bill is around 20.80 with 10.00 off. That really doesn’t make sense. Then there is tax on the total which is usual. But the 10.00 certainly isn’t half of the 20.80. This may seem like nitpicking but I learned math in school and this certainly doesn’t make sense.

This afternoon was my first experience with chopped leaf. I’ve walked by a million times and thought I’d give it a try. That was a bad choice. I should have left the minute I stepped foot in the store. I couldn’t even get to the till before the girl behind the counter was asking what I wanted , and if it was ‘here or to go’. then when I said this was my first time here and I would like to check out the menu first , I was met with a disgruntled sign . As I ordered my salad I got a “is that all” in a tone that a bratty 12 yr old would use . Now I’ve worked customer services jobs before and understand the job can be demanding , but that girl was just snotty. To top it off I brought my food back to my office and the portion sizes are so not worth what your paying for. Nor the taste. I work in the downtown core and will not be recommending this location to family , friends or clients.
