Spent a night in Fernie and left the following morning, prior to continuing our drive, we decided to stop off and do Fairy Creek Falls. Definitely an easier hike to do, and I'd almost consider it more of a nature walk than an actual hike. Nothing too steep, and the path was well maintained with minimal rocks/debris spread over the trail. Took us 30-40 minutes to get to the falls from the parking lot going at a medium pace. Falls are definitely gorgeous and worth checking out. If you want to get up close to the falls, you need to cross a mini waterfall (all rocks), which can be slippery without any real handrails. It's definitely doable to cross, but does warrant some caution as one can slip while trying to cross this section. There is an area before the mini waterfall where you can stand to get photos of the falls, so you don't have to go right up close to the falls if you don't want to. I'd definitely recommend this hike for those looking for a 90-120 minute (round trip) experience with nature, without having to expel too much energy. We went through the trail at around 11:00am on a Friday and I would say it was fairly quiet in terms of other hikers. Just be mindful of wildlife while doing this hike as we did come across a few deer, and also numerous signs warning of bears in the area.

Hiking was good. It is not difficult, if you can walk for 3 km. The view deserves it. It is a good way to relax and sharpen yourself mentally. Wild encounters were null (at least in my experience), you may take your dog. All u may need is a good pair of hiking shoes. No place to camp it is only for hiking.

Its a small fall but cute. The trail is ok, little dusty probably because of the dry season. The creek is also nice but you don't see it up until the last part of the trail. Its shared with bikes

Great hike right off the highway. Leads you to picturesque Fairy Creek Falls. Make sure you get a photo in the tub a long the way. You'll understand when you see it.
