Terrible service..didnt even want to stay yo try the food..very disappointing 😕

So Mr.Mikes was just okay. Disappointing is the best way I can describe my experience. Don't get me wrong the service was good. The food was mediocre. First off my steak was full of gristle. I could barely cut through it with my steak knife. Only about 2/3 of it was edible! Not what you'd expect from a $30 steak. On top of that the steak was under cooked. The rest of the food was bland. I don't think there was any salt used on the green beans at all. You get a better steak and sides ordering the steak sandwich at Boston Pizza. That's pretty sad for a place that has steak house in its name. It had been about ten years since the last time I ate at Mr.Mikes and from my last visit, it will probably be another ten years before I go back. Update: so I tried to send an email to mrmikesfeedback.ca only to get my email return stating the email address doesn't exist. Nice. I guess it's easy to just placate your customers by making them think that they have recourse for a disappointing experience then to actually do something about it. FOR SHAME. What a complete waste of my time. I guess that's just a reflection of what you should expect from Mr.Mikes. Sad, just sad.

Went for dinner here tonight and sat at the bar. The service was impeccable! The young man behind the bar (think he was a manager) was very knowledgably and gave us some great suggestions. We were very well looked after. The steak my wife had was amazing. She says it was one of the best she has ever had. Great job everyone!

Our waiter last night was fantastic. That's is where it starts. The Food was pleasantly surprising at just how good it tasted. We were extremely happy and did not expect this experience. We have a new outlook of the brand. The last time we went to a Mr. Mikes was in West Edmonton mall. Our steals and ribs were not done right. So we were hesitant. But we had the kids with us so here we go. They ate everything! The Chicken pasta was amazing and full of flavour. The burgers were devoured by the children Then the kids ate our wings and steak bites. Then the kids ate all our stuffed mushrooms! Then the kids snuck in a few of my wife's chicken wings. We were like "wow"!! We will go back to the Red Deer location for sure when we pass through.
