Great ENT doctor. Always found Dr Monoghan to be excellent and I was a patient for over 10 years.

First time appointment for our 6 yr old. AMAZING!!!! Very pleasant, honest and kind doctor, excellent with our son. Definitely recommend.

I had chosen to go to his Red Deer location as it would be quicker for me to get in and see a specialist. My first visit with Dr. Monaghan was short and not quite what I expected but after my dad had gone in to see him after I spent time crying in my car (worrying about my health), he had agreed to see us before lunch after his other patients were seen to. I did have more questions as my brain doesn't work as well as it should and used to so I don't think of things as quickly right now. We were able to clear the air and I finally was able to ask the questions that had come to my mind after the appt, stress my concerns about my current health situation and why I was so worried. He explained more about my vocal cords and why a speech therapist would be able to help as I don't have a surgical problem that he would be able to fix (no visible mass causing my hoarseness). I am more than happy and thankful that he was able to take the time to see myself and my dad again. I mentioned to him yesterday that I was able to get in to follow up with my GP today about where we go from here and what we can do as I am at a loss. He and his team were able to send the letter to my GP and she went through that with me today. When I was heading to look for my humidifier this morning I was getting a call from his office. I thought it was going to be the office staff but it was Dr. Monaghan himself! He was checking in on me, seeing how I was doing, how my appt went this morning with my GP and that he sent a referral off to the ENT Dr. Bosch in Calgary for moving forward with the speech therapy. He was making sure if I had any other questions or concerns he would be able and be there to help. I am so thankful he called, it just made me feel so much better. He took the time, with his busy schedule, to call me. That means the world to me :)

I've an update! After i wrote my review and still in the parking lot, i went back into Dr. Monaghan's Office and showed the front desk what I had writen, and that I was shocked that the visit was so quick! and that I was scared for Sarah's unknown illness! well, Dr. Monaghan had overheard this and agreed to see me in the exam room, he expressed that he would love to see Sarah and myself again to go over her Medical concerns...this second visit was for end of morning, and within two hours, Wow!👍 ...we came back in and went over the concerns she has, and very indepth ones...her fears of the unknown, direction of treatment, and the very much depressing frightening void she is struggling to live with, this visit was extremely respectful! with a caring compassion that i am now sure he has with his own family! Sarah has written her review below mine, and Please Read it...something happened this morning that just floored me to no end..plus I got warm Fuzzies from it...Sarah was looking for her Humidifier when her phone rang - it was Dr. Monaghan's Office, ..it was Dr. Monaghan personally calling to check on how Sarah was doing..her health! -In Hawaiian there's a word...Pono - it means to do something Stand up..Righteous!..a Goodness that when you truly care about someone, something or a situation, that you understand it and take it on as it is yours also - you put your Mana..your Soul, too it, ..and that's who was calling Sarah this morning a very Pono guy, Dr. Monaghan...Thank You! for taking the extra time within your busy schedule to see us (Sarah) again yesterday! but what you did this morning...well, I myself was just blown away when Sarah called to say.."Hey Dad, guess who just called me"?! and how much it meant to her, to hear your voice...she will never forget you calling her! Mahalo, Thank You so much for that Dr. Monaghan! and everything you continue to do for my Daughter...you are Top Notch in my Books! I highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Monaghan, he's there to answer all your questions and does truly care about You...

I previously posted (and recently deleted) a review that I wrote out of frustration. I would like to apologize to Dr. Monaghan regarding that review. I am confident that he has the credentials to make the appropriate decisions in his chosen profession and does so professionally, honestly and ethically.
