I've been in this specific location a few times in the past and have had pleasant experiences. The shop is close to my home in Mount Pleasant - in a great area and always has catchy front displays. My review is based on a few frustrating experiences with the consignment end of the store. My advice for those considering bringing items over for appraisal: don't. Today I did an experiment. I am 7 months pregnant and brought over 2 pieces which I had bought from a Turnabout store a little before I became pregnant (one worn once, one never worn), along with a couple of pieces from excellent local and modern Canadian designers (Jennifer Glasgow and Birds of North America). After watching the consignment attendant give the hangers 2 seconds of look before tagging them a "no", I was told "they didn't recognize any of the designers" and "the styles were wrong for store." Given I had purchased some from this store, this is clearly untrue. I felt typed as soon as I walked in and knew nothing would be taken - this shouldn't be the experience. This bad experience highly outweighed the few goods ones I've had in the store. I won't be back and will not be recommending to others. I suggest that a store that prides itself on being a Canadian franchise recognize excellent, stylish local designers more - and teach staff to be at least more courteous to those who are brave enough to try consigning.

Really cute stuff! Prices are a bit high because it is more of a consignment store than a thrift store so don't expect to find that many 'bargains'. Workers are really friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable shopping there with their COVID regulations. However, it is not the most size inclusive store as a majority of the womens clothing pieces are size small or extra small. I would love to see a more inclusive variety of sizes :)

There isn’t a better consignment chain of stores in Vancouver better than Turnabout. Each location has its own target demographic and no one else compares in the selection of authentic designer goods and men’s wear for a fraction of the cost new. If you are like me and “can’t afford cheap things” this is the place to cut your budget in half with pieces that will outlive you in your closet. Instead of buying new think about buying second hand. The buyers only acquire like new quality items and sell them for excellent prices. Then add their loyalty dollars and sales and customer appreciation days and it’s a no brainer to try Turnabout first before hitting the malls. Thank you for over 20 years of making me look amazing! I have found the most incredible pieces that i wouldn’t have found even here in the store new. Your buyers and staff are wonderful and truly recognize the meaning of treating loyal customers the way they should be. The Granville location is where I find the best designer clothing shoes and handbags but some of my most memorable Gucci Pravda and Louboutin pieces came from the Main Street location. I love the Kits location because it has amazing every day and casual wear as well as great stuff for men. Designer men’s shoes and clothes are excellent at the Main Street location. I have been a loyal customer for almost two decades. My mom and I never miss the Boxing Day sale!! ♥️♥️♥️

Expensive brand names and I wish they would lower their prices earlier than a month (or whatever,) on the clothing that has been sitting on hangers for awhile. I've seen lots of things I really like but simply priced too high for my income. They've also opened new store on Fraser Street near 25th just about 2 months ago. Haven't been in here yet because it's not on my regular travel route but eventually will get there & probably like it better than Main Street store because it's smaller & looks like they carry wide range of variety.

The staff are awesome and knowledgeable not to mention very friendly too. The store was very organized and very inviting. Addicting I think is a better term if were are really honest with each other. I loved the stock and the price is matched the items as Turnabout is no regular store. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves clothes and passionate about styling and profiling like me.
