Invermere Airport (CAA8)

I absolutely love this place! My family has owned a cottage behind the airstrip land for over 75 years, and with the airport being built, we were all exuberent. We have even had some times when a Cessna would crash the garden fence, destroy our Rhubarb, and settle in one of our walls, destroying my Aunt Edna's painting collection. I love the noise the airstrip makes, and often sit on a lawnchair watching the planes take off, and sometimes crash.

Nice paved field (N/S runway) for VFR. Field is privately owned and there was a small landing fee when I was there. Friendly staff and good advice on local flying areas and conditions. Lots of glider and parasail traffic in the vicinity during the summer. Monitor radio and stay alert. Hotel next door.
