Canoe River Campground

Valemount is a great place to get out and enjoy nature! Especially, for those with toys! Our Site had water, 30amp service and the sani-dump is free for those staying at least 3 days which covered the basics. This was our first time staying at this campground but won’t be our last. Direct access to miles and miles of Offroad trails and beautiful mountain scenery...what more can you want! Walked our fur-babies around the grounds every morning and had a blast exploring the trails during the days.

This place was beautiful. Mountains and horses, we were backed right onto the pasture for the horses and it was the most peaceful experience to have them there while we sat around the fire. Staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Prices are great for serviced lots. Not too close together, treed and big lots. We only stayed here one night but every night we wished we could go back. Will be staying here again for MUCH longer on our next trip!

Found this gem by chance. If you like camping with forests of trees, beautiful scenery(horses and mountains) and spacious sites, this is your place. Picked wild strawberries and ate for breakfast. Our site was along the river. It was beautiful!! Stayed 2 nights this week and will stop again on way home.

Nice and quiet. Atmosphere is like a Provincial campground without the Park Wardens coming around!

This place was amazing! Quiet out of the way location. Lots had full hook ups and plenty of space to position the RV any way you like. Onsite showers group dinner area and park for kids. The river runs along one end of the property which is a short walk from most campsites. Fire wood was $7 for an ok amount and the only down side I could see was the Sani dump was a charge for short term stays. I highly recommend site.
